Insurance

General Liability

Insurance covering bodily injury, property damage, and personal/advertising injury claims arising from business operations.

Commercial General Liability (CGL) insurance is the foundational coverage for construction businesses. It covers third-party claims for bodily injury, property damage, and personal/advertising injury arising from the insured's operations.

Standard CGL policies include per-occurrence limits, general aggregate limits, and products/completed operations limits. Construction contracts typically specify minimum coverage requirements — commonly $1M per occurrence and $2M aggregate for subcontractors.
