Why construction, why now
I have already done this once. At a smaller asset class.
My last company was a regulated digital brokerage. We took a fragmented retail-investing market (paperwork, call centers, six counterparties per trade) and turned it into a single rail. Five million users later, a tier-one US investment bank acquired us.
Construction capital is the same pattern at ten times the size. Ten trillion dollars of work in place every year. No neutral rail. Every counterparty keeps their own private ledger. The friction is obscene. The opportunity is obvious.
I already know how to build inside a regulated financial environment. I already know what it takes to align counterparties who do not naturally trust each other. I already know how to run an M&A process, hold financial licenses, and operate infrastructure that other companies depend on. That is the earned right to build the Clearinghouse.
This is the second time. It will work.
